About The Author
As a young mother, Marilyn Swander began writing stories about her children to share with her family. After her youngest child was in elementary school, she headed to college to become a teacher. Marilyn spent over twenty-five years teaching fifth and second graders and often used project-based learning to give her students hands-on learning opportunities. She especially loved sharing her passion for paleontology with her students. Now retired, Marilyn enjoys writing and creating activities for her twenty-one grandchildren.
